Properties of HC

Jun 03 2026

# Properties of HC HC stands for high-concentration pure silane stock solution, a core hydrophobic impregnation material for concrete anti-corrosion projects and upgraded specification of classic Emcephob series. It is formulated with high-purity alkyl triethoxysilane without excess water and redundant fillers, bringing distinctive physical and chemical advantages different from ready-to-use diluted silane products. In terms of penetration performance, the small molecular structure enables HC to permeate deep into concrete capillary pores efficiently. After penetrating inside substrates, it undergoes hydrolysis and crosslinking reactions to form a stable

2_01(1) hydrophobic siloxane network. No dense closed film generates on the concrete surface, which keeps the base material breathable and avoids blistering or peeling caused by trapped moisture inside concrete components. Such deep infiltration capability effectively blocks chloride ions, saline solution, rainwater and freeze-thaw erosion, greatly restraining steel bar rust and concrete carbonization. Chemically, HC features outstanding stability within regular storage period. It hardly delaminates or crystallizes under low-temperature environment and holds fine resistance against weak acid and alkali. As concentrated raw liquid, it needs proper dilution with matched solvent before construction and adapts to spraying and roller coating construction techniques. Compared with finished diluted silane, HC greatly reduces transportation and packaging costs and allows flexible concentration adjustment based on concrete compactness and service environment. Limited by its high volatility, construction sites require good ventilation and necessary protective measures for operators. Benefiting from high purity, deep penetration and long-lasting anti-corrosion effects, HC has become the preferred raw material for coastal ports, cross-sea bridges and saline road infrastructure under severe corrosive conditions.
